Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2026

1. Introduction

Oyela ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our psychometric assessment platform and related services.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored in hashed form).

Assessment Data: Your responses to assessment questions, scores, and AI-generated reports are stored securely to provide you with insights and allow you to revisit results.

Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the platform, including pages visited, features used, and session duration.

Payment Information: Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Oyela platform
  • Generate personalized assessment scores and AI-powered reports
  • Facilitate couples comparison features when both partners consent
  • Connect you with certified coaches (only with your explicit action)
  • Send transactional emails (e.g., partner invitations, password resets)
  • Improve our services and develop new features

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data in the following limited circumstances:

  • Couples Comparison: Score-level data (not individual answers) is shared between linked partners for comparison reports.
  • Practitioners: If a practitioner assigns you an assessment, they may view your scores and reports, but not individual responses.
  • Service Providers: We use third-party services (Stripe for payments, Resend for emails, AI services for report generation) that process data on our behalf.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS), secure password hashing, and access controls. Assessment responses related to sensitive topics (e.g., F-SAFE adversity indicators) are treated with additional confidentiality protections.
